Can food be consumed directly after ClO₂ disinfection?

Yes. At recommended concentrations, food-grade ClO₂ requires no additional rinsing. It naturally decomposes into chloride with no harmful residuals.

Does it affect organic food certification?

ClO₂ is approved by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) for use in organic food processing sanitation and does not affect organic certification.

What advantages does it have over sodium hypochlorite?

ClO₂ produces no trihalomethanes (THMs), does not affect food taste, works at lower concentrations, has a wider effective pH range (4-10), and does not create off-flavors when reacting with organic matter.
